This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct intricate analyses utilizing specialized databases to extract patient information from electronic medical records for cancer incidence assessments.
• Gather and upload manual case-finding lists into cancer registry software based on market assignments.
• Review disease indices, pathology reports, radiology reports, and other clinical documents to pinpoint reportable cancer cases.
• Execute primary data abstraction for oncology measures and registries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with oncology regulatory standards.
• Sustain long-term follow-up data collection and input for cancer registry patients.
• Collect data for special studies related to the National Cancer Database as needed.
• Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA), to be obtained prior to the hire or transfer date.
• High school diploma equivalency with a combined experience of 2 years.
• Successful completion of an NCRA-accredited certificate program, or an associate's or bachelor's degree, or 4 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience.
• Preference for registrars specializing in tumors.
