Senior Node.js Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Development of high-performance backend services and APIs that drive enterprise-grade SaaS applications.

• Creation of scalable and secure Node.js microservices and integrations within the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Implementation of modern front-end experiences utilizing Vue.js and TypeScript for demanding enterprise users.

• Design and management of CI/CD pipeline tooling, automation frameworks, and infrastructure to enhance developer productivity.

• Handling of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures that manage sensitive enterprise data at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional Node.js development experience in production settings — excluding tutorials, side projects, or bootcamp exercises. This should involve real production systems serving actual users at scale.

• Comprehensive understanding of asynchronous programming, event loops, streams, and the Node.js runtime. You should be capable of explaining backpressure, the distinctions between setImmediate and process.nextTick, and the risks associated with unhandled promise rejections — without the need to Google.

• Extensive experience with TypeScript in production codebases. We prioritize typed code, and we expect a solid grasp of its importance.

• Strong expertise in RESTful API design, authentication methodologies (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and best practices in API security for enterprise environments.

• Demonstrated experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization, data modeling, and comprehension of the performance consequences of schema decisions at scale.

• Proficient in Git workflows, code review processes, automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Good understanding of containerization (Docker), cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and infrastructure-as-code principles.

• Salesforce development experience is essential: this includes Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, or Salesforce API integrations. Candidates proficient in both Node.js and Salesforce are particularly valuable to us.

• Prior experience in building or contributing to Salesforce ISV (AppExchange) products.

• Experience in Vue.js front-end development, especially with Vue 3 Composition API and state management.

• Background in B2B SaaS companies catering to enterprise clients with stringent compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, GDPR).

• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps toolchains and practices within the Salesforce ecosystem.
