Senior Node.js Developer – APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and manage scalable backend applications and microservices using Node.js.

• Develop secure, high-performance APIs and integrations tailored for fintech and payment systems.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improvements.

• Create and sustain RESTful APIs and event-driven services.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code in alignment with industry best practices.

• Engage in architecture discussions and influence technical design choices.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues in conjunction with SRE and support teams.

• Apply security best practices and ensure adherence to industry standards.

• Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.

• Support agile development methodologies and continuous improvement efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience.

• More than 4 years of practical experience in building applications using Node.js.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven systems.

• Proficient with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.

• Familiar with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of Docker and containerized application development.

• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and modern software delivery pipelines.

• Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently within distributed teams.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Must reside in the APAC region and be available to work during Canadian overnight hours.
