Senior Node.js Backend Engineer, APIs & Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and develop **scalable backend services utilizing Node.js**

• Create and uphold **secure, robust APIs**

• Collaborate on **integrations between SaaS platforms, ERPs, and internal systems**

• Execute **event-driven flows** (including webhooks, retries, and idempotency)

• Assist in **authentication and authorization processes** (OAuth2, JWT, API keys)

• Discover and address **performance, concurrency, and scalability issues**

• Enhance **observability, logging, and error management in production**

• Engage in **technical decision-making and architecture discussions**

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in developing backend systems in production, particularly with integrations and distributed architectures.

• Strong proficiency with **Node.js in production settings**

• Experience in building and managing **APIs**

• Familiarity with **authentication and authorization protocols** (such as OAuth2, JWT, or similar)

• Experience with integrating external systems or third-party services

• Comprehensive understanding of **backend fundamentals (performance, scalability, reliability)**

• Proficiency in English (as you will be collaborating with U.S. clients)

• **Nice to Have (Not Required)**

• Experience with **event-driven architectures or webhooks**

• Familiarity with **iPaaS tools** (such as Mulesoft, Workato, Boomi, etc.)

• Experience in integrating with **ERPs** (NetSuite, SAP, Business Central)

• Experience with **high-concurrency systems**

• Understanding of CI/CD practices
