Senior Network & Telecoms Manager – Data Centres

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Assist the Google Regional Project Manager and Senior Project Manager in data centre technical fitout initiatives.

• Serve as the secondary technical point of contact for local teams and liaise with cross-functional teams (Engineering and IT Operations Teams) for project implementations in Taiwan.

• Support the Regional Project Manager with comprehensive responsibilities from planning through to the handover of on-site fit-out tasks.

• Address issues swiftly based on technical criteria or escalate them as necessary.

• Ensure that work is conducted safely and meets high standards of quality workmanship.

• Maintain checklists and trackers, identify punch items, and drive the clearance of the punch list.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in technical project scoping, procurement, securing funding approvals, delivery, execution, and project close-out.

• Advanced expertise in procurement, installation, commissioning, and management processes related to data centre network projects.

• In-depth knowledge of building products, construction details, and applicable regulations, as well as quality standards.

• Proficiency in both English and Thai.

• Strong technical skills with a keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.

• Capability to think critically, analyze, and resolve problems under high-pressure conditions.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet specified deadlines.

• A post-graduate degree in engineering, construction, or project/construction management is a significant advantage.

• Monitor and report on critical milestones from the start of the technical fit-out to completion for handover to Operations.

• Lead weekly management and site meetings with General Contractors, Architects, and Telecom Contractors.

• Coordinate with local construction project managers to align priorities and oversee site management.

• Work alongside internal teams to manage the ordering, delivery, and storage of owner-purchased materials (Vienna, Hyena, Fibers, etc.) and components required for data centre turn-ups.

• Review and monitor contractor deliverables.

• Conduct inspections, surveys, and regular site walks.

• Maintain checklists and trackers, identify punch items, and facilitate punch list clearance.
