Senior Network Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and enhance national multi-service backbone architectures utilizing MPLS, BGP, IGP, L2VPN/L3VPN, EVPN, and Segment Routing;

• Establish technical standards, routing policies, peering strategies, and technology advancement roadmaps for customer networks;

• Act as the final escalation point for critical incidents, guiding advanced troubleshooting and structural production modifications;

• Perform capacity, resilience, and performance evaluations in carrier-grade environments;

• Guide N1, N2, and N3 teams, fostering technical growth and sharing best practices;

• Represent IPV7 in technical discussions, strategic initiatives, complex pre-sales activities, and engagements with large enterprise clients;

• Assist in the ongoing development of architectures, processes, and operational standards within the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in IP engineering for large carriers or ISPs with a national backbone, multiple Points of Presence (PoPs), and an autonomous ASN;

• At least 8 years of networking experience, including a minimum of 3 years in carrier architecture or engineering;

• CCIE (Service Provider or Enterprise Infrastructure), JNCIE-SP, HCIE-Datacom/Carrier IP certification, or equivalent demonstrated expertise;

• Advanced proficiency in carrier-grade BGP, MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE, and Segment Routing), L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN, and large-scale IGPs (OSPF and IS-IS);

• In-depth understanding of QoS for multi-service environments;

• Experience with Nokia SR OS, Huawei VRP, and Juniper Junos platforms;

• Familiarity with routing security concepts, including RPKI, MANRS, BCP38, and DDoS mitigation.
