Senior Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and enhance the organization’s primary network security platforms.

• Guarantee the availability, performance, and safeguarding of essential systems within a large-scale enterprise setting.

• Act as the senior technical point of contact for intricate security, firewall, and network access control challenges.

• Spearhead root-cause analysis, incident response, and efforts for problem resolution.

• Promote ongoing enhancement through policy refinement, segmentation projects, automation, and operational improvements utilizing Palo Alto, Fortinet, and NAC platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required.

• 8–10+ years of practical experience in network/security engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in large-scale, enterprise environments.

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls.

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Fortinet security platforms.

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of Cisco ISE and/or Aruba ClearPass.

• Strong understanding of firewall operations, policy management, and segmentation.

• Strong familiarity with authentication protocols: 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+.

• Strong knowledge of VPN technologies: IPSec, SSL VPN.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered issues under pressure.

• Palo Alto PCNSE or an equivalent level certification.

• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher is strongly preferred.

• Additional certifications such as Aruba, Cisco security-related, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.

• 2 years of leadership or management experience is preferred.
