Senior Network Operations Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Experience as a network engineer with a solid understanding of network components and vendors such as Arista, Aruba and Cisco switches, Juniper and Cisco routers, Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, Aruba and Arista wireless systems, Aruba Clearpass authentication, Arista Cloud Vision (CVP), F5 load balancers, Bluecat and Micetro DNS, among others.

• Proficient in routing protocols, routing/switching technologies, enterprise DNS, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, Internet proxies, wireless, and authentication.

• Familiarity with Software-Defined Network (SDN) deployment and support, with a preference for experience in Versa SDWAN, Redhat Openshift, VMware, and NSX.

• Capable of troubleshooting issues within large-scale data center enterprise network environments and resolving them effectively.

• Skilled in developing software and tools for proactive global network monitoring, capacity planning, load testing, and responding to network events.

• Proficient in creating network automation software and tools to enhance operational support for the network.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with various development and operations teams to create reliable system designs.

• Understanding of Network Monitoring and Observability, with the ability to take appropriate actions regarding Fault and Performance, Packet Analysis, Logging, Configuration Management, and Automation.

• Must possess knowledge and experience in modern network automation scripting, including Python, Ansible, and similar technologies.

• Provide support for 24x7x365 global network data center operations.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.

• Ability to navigate and work within a complex network under moderate supervision in a global team setting.

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Proficient with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and knowledgeable about ITIL processes and procedures.

• Assist with the Change Management process as needed, including engaging in maintenance activities during off hours and weekends.
