This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.
• Take responsibility for the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network architecture across on-premises, cloud, and distributed environments.
• Spearhead the Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) strategy and execution utilizing Zscaler, incorporating ZIA and ZPA.
• Develop network policies, segmentation, and access controls to facilitate secure business operations.
• Oversee and enhance secure remote access infrastructure, which includes MDM, host management, VPN alternatives, and connectivity for a distributed workforce.
• Assist in the design, deployment, and fortification of networking for the Global Sensor Network (GSN).
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams on AWS GovCloud networking architecture, focusing on VPC design, routing, and secure connectivity.
• Manage and secure DNS infrastructure, encompassing internal and external resolution, filtering, and resilience.
• Design and sustain secure wired and wireless networks for office environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network configurations and deployments.
• Ensure adherence to CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and other pertinent regulatory frameworks.
• Address domestic and international networking requirements, factoring in data sovereignty and interoperability considerations.
• Monitor, identify, and respond to network-based threats and incidents in collaboration with security teams.
• Continuously enhance network performance, availability, reliability, and security posture.
• Document network architecture, standards, and procedures comprehensively.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive knowledge in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS.
• Practical experience with Zero Trust architectures and Zscaler, specifically ZIA and ZPA, is highly preferred.
• Background in supporting cloud networking, particularly with AWS; experience with GovCloud is a plus.
• Familiarity with networking solutions for distributed and remote workforces.
• Understanding of network security principles, threat detection, and incident response processes.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Awareness of compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, or similar standards.
• Insight into global networking challenges, including international regulations and connectivity limitations.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are required or strongly preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
