This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Execute engineering projects involving design, staging, installation, validation, testing, and troubleshooting for data and security networks.
• Lead intricate, large-scale Network and Security initiatives, encompassing the design and deployment of data center fabric.
• Develop detailed low-level designs that align with business strategies, customer budgets, and operational support capabilities.
• Carry out network discovery processes.
• Conduct assessments for Network and Security.
• Deliver documentation and project engagement materials to clients.
• Collaborate effectively with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management, and engineering resources for delivery.
• Address complex issues and provide assistance to team members facing deployment challenges.
• Partner with junior engineers to implement secure networking solutions.
• Perform network maintenance Method of Procedures (MOPs) both onsite and remotely, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Extensive experience with complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions.
• Proficient understanding of security protocols and methods for securing device access.
• Expertise in core routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting following Cisco Best Practices.
• Strong knowledge of network design and IP addressing.
• Familiarity with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, protocol redistribution, and loop prevention techniques.
• In-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack, headers and packets, OSI model, and TCP/UDP ports and services.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and operating data center fabric, including VXLAN/EVPN.
• Proficient in using Cisco Nexus Dashboard.
• Knowledge of cloud networking in environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in deploying at least one SD-WAN solution, such as Viptela, Silverpeak, or Palo Prisma SDWAN.
• Background in implementing security solutions including Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and Cisco FTD.
• Skills in firewall configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Meraki MX configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in FMC Management.
• Familiar with the Palo Alto Networks Product Portfolio and Cisco Security Product Portfolio.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise network architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in advanced network routing and switching.
• Experience with F5 load balancing is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military background.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant project implementation experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Preferred certifications include CCNP Security and CCNP Routing/Switching.
