Senior Modelling Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Utilize your knowledge in heat transfer and thermodynamics to design the next generation of energy-efficient and eco-friendly HVAC/R systems.

• Oversee modeling tasks related to climate and refrigeration systems and their components, which include:

• Development of dynamic component and system models using Modelica

• Establishment of model requirements

• Formulation of test plans

• Verification and validation of models

• Conducting and analyzing simulation studies

• Implementation of advanced methodologies for modeling complex, nonlinear processes

• Initiate new projects and draft the necessary technical documentation

• Work collaboratively with marketing, product development, and international teams to grasp customer requirements from various perspectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in HVAC and/or thermodynamics

• Master’s degree or PhD in refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, turbomachinery, electrical engineering, or a similar field

• In-depth knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamics

• Experience in modeling one-dimensional thermo-fluid systems (1D modeling in Modelica)

• Hands-on experience in the development or application of HVAC/R systems or power plant components

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Capability to collaborate effectively across various functions
