Senior Mobile Engineer – React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Implement Agentic AI-driven development practices: leverage copilots/agents for planning, code generation, refactoring, test creation, and documentation.

• Develop and disseminate team playbooks, including workflows, guardrails, and reusable patterns.

• Lead the design and implementation of high-quality mobile user interfaces using React Native with Expo.

• Construct, secure, and maintain mobile APIs and SDK integrations.

• Oversee end-to-end App Store and Google Play releases, including CI/CD automation.

• Utilize agents to enhance the development and upkeep of unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Implement static analysis, ensure type safety, and uphold performance benchmarks.

• Guide mid-level engineers in best practices for mobile engineering.

• Organize cross-team workshops, lunch and learns, and documentation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong emphasis on mobile development, specifically with React Native and Expo.

• Practical experience with Agentic AI-driven development tools (e.g., CursorAI, Claude Code).

• Demonstrated success in delivering and maintaining production applications on the App Store and/or Google Play.

• Proficient in mobile CI/CD pipelines, including Bitbucket, Fastlane, and GitHub Actions.

• Solid understanding of AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM.

• Expertise in writing and auto-generating comprehensive test suites (Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Playwright).

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Enthusiasm for adopting and promoting emerging technologies.
