This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take charge of features from concept to completion. You will transform ideas into well-designed, deployed features, ensuring the code is clean, maintainable, and monitoring the impact of your contributions in production.
• Drive the Migration to KMP: You will evaluate, document, and strategize the transition of our intricate domain from iOS/Android platform code to KMP-first code, all while continuing to deliver features to our users.
• Integrate AI Features: Collaborating with the backend team, you will implement scalable AI-powered features for the app and assess best practices to guarantee an exceptional user experience.
• Collaborate with Product and Design: You will be more than just a ticket-taker; you will play a crucial role in defining the *why* and *what* by exploring new technical areas, considering trade-offs, and contributing to a roadmap that is both ambitious and realistic.
• Enhance the Team: As a mentor to fellow engineers, you will lead by example through insightful code reviews and proactively improve team processes.
• Proficient in Modern Mobile Development: You possess extensive experience in building native mobile applications on Android using Kotlin and Compose, preferably with KMP. Familiarity with iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI is a significant advantage, along with a willingness to broaden your expertise across both platforms.
• Proven End-to-End Ownership: You have a successful history of managing the complete delivery of features from start to finish.
• AI Enthusiast: You are adept at leveraging AI tools to streamline your daily workflows while upholding high standards of quality and safety. Experience in integrating and developing AI-driven features in production settings is a considerable plus.
• Pragmatic Approach: You understand how to quickly develop minimal viable products to achieve results, prioritizing effectively what to build first and what can wait. You maintain a high standard for code quality, ensuring it is improved upon even when working under time constraints.
• Genuine Product Engineer: You are passionate about user experience and the reasons behind your projects. You are comfortable analyzing product metrics and are motivated to see your contributions create a measurable impact.
• Strong Communicator: You can clearly express complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are also at ease documenting technical subjects for your peers.
