This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• You will take full ownership of the mobile platform, overseeing everything from the current state to a complete production rebuild, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams across the organization.
• Develop for real-world scenarios. The application must perform reliably under poor connectivity, on older devices, and with unreliable GPS, as consistent clocking in is essential for our users.
• Establish the design system and modular components in React Native, allowing the team to operate efficiently without compromising on user experience.
• Leverage AI agents to work concurrently, enabling the rapid generation and deployment of high-quality code.
• Expand the build into a comprehensive platform, taking responsibility for the quality and pace of the mobile codebase while providing a solid foundation for other engineers at Nory.
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering, maintaining an outward-facing approach as a key member of a small platform team.
• Extensive React Native experience at a senior level.
• You integrate AI into your workflow, but maintain high standards.
• You have experience with either a complete build from scratch or a significant migration.
• You genuinely care about product quality and user experience.
• You can navigate across the entire technology stack.
• You design for scalability and reliability.
• You maintain an outward-facing perspective.
• You take ownership of problems rather than just handling tickets.
• Bonus points: Experience in developing people-focused technology or HR tech workflows at scale.
• A background in a web and mobile platform team where you developed strong architectural and best practice habits.
• Experience in creating B2C or consumer-grade applications that are fast, responsive, and enjoyable to use.
• Some practical experience with native APIs (Swift or Kotlin), even if it's not your primary role.
• Experience in hospitality, food service, or another operational industry.
• Remote-first working environment
• Competitive salary based on experience
• Meaningful equity; at Nory, everyone is considered an owner
• 35 days of paid leave annually (including public holidays)
• Comprehensive private health insurance through Irish Life (Ireland) and AXA (UK)
• Enhanced parental leave and support for baby loss
• A culture of learning and development, with a personal annual budget of €1,000 plus a quarterly book budget
• €250 budget for home office workspace
• Regular team offsite events and social activities
• Opportunity to work from anywhere for up to 3 months each year
• Offices located in London, Dublin, or Spain
