Senior ML Scientist – AI Copilot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Work closely with applied ML scientists to gain insights into our technology stack and architecture.

• Partner with ML teams to investigate, develop, and enhance effective AI solutions that greatly benefit customer support.

• Tackle significant and challenging problems utilizing the latest ML techniques, such as neural networks and information retrieval.

• Assist in the production implementation of ML techniques and learn how to design systems for scalability.

• Collaborate with dedicated, experienced, and humble colleagues from around the world.

• Present your findings to a diverse, multi-disciplinary global audience.

• Keep abreast of the latest research in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) and disseminate knowledge within the organization.

• Advocate for initiatives that enhance the quality and robustness of Zendesk's AI capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related fields.

• Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning methodologies.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Experience with at least one major deep learning library, preferably PyTorch.

• A strong desire to learn and develop professionally.

• Curiosity and eagerness to critically understand the fundamentals of AI.

• A results-oriented and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

• A PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related areas is preferred.

• Familiarity and experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly concerning generative language models and information retrieval, is advantageous.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of conveying technical concepts to a diverse audience of stakeholders.
