Senior ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive end-to-end machine learning use cases, including recommendation systems, safety algorithms, and moderation models.

• Design, train, assess, and deploy machine learning models as needed.

• Maintain a balance between delivery speed and system robustness and reliability.

• Foster enhancements throughout the machine learning lifecycle, including training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

• Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish monitoring standards to evaluate model performance over time.

• Ensure ongoing alignment with product and safety objectives.

• Assist in enhancing the reliability and observability of production machine learning systems.

• Contribute to the advancement of our machine learning platform through the development of tools, workflows, and reusable components.

• Aid in the establishment and promotion of scalable machine learning engineering practices across various teams.

• Assume responsibility for legacy models and realign them to meet current business requirements.

• Enhance, retrain, and integrate these models into modern workflows.

• Investigate and implement advanced machine learning methodologies where applicable.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, MLOps, Backend Platform, and Product teams.

• Serve as a liaison among machine learning, platform, and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess over 5 years of experience in machine learning and data, including work with large-scale datasets (hundreds of gigabytes).

• You have strong proficiency in contemporary machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.

• You are highly skilled in Python and the associated data ecosystem.

• You possess an in-depth understanding of neural networks and practical experience with LLM-based systems.

• You comprehend machine learning systems from end to end (data → training → deployment → monitoring).

• You have substantial experience with production machine learning systems beyond just research.

• You exhibit a strong product sense and can effectively align models with business objectives.

• You are pragmatic and focused on impact, skillfully balancing experimentation with execution.

• You can articulate complex machine learning concepts clearly (strong pedagogical skills).

• You thrive in ambiguous situations and can break down complex problems into manageable components.

• You are capable of driving technical decisions and influencing stakeholders through expertise and collaboration.
