Senior ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create and implement machine learning solutions across various business sectors utilizing tabular data (uplift models, recommender systems). We are also actively engaged in projects that will incorporate e-commerce mechanics.

• Identify the most suitable ML/LLM methodologies or propose alternative strategies.

• Develop comprehensive ML solutions: encompassing data preparation, model training, API development, and ongoing monitoring.

• Design features powered by LLM: ranging from basic classifiers and content generation to sophisticated AI assistants and chatbots.

• Manage the entire LLM lifecycle: including golden datasets, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluating responses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in ML/DS addressing real product challenges.

• In-depth knowledge of ML and mathematical statistics: strong grasp of classical algorithms (particularly gradient boosting) and familiarity with contemporary NLP/LLM techniques.

• Metrics-driven approach: capacity to link ML metrics (ROC-AUC, F1, RMSE) with business outcomes (CR, LTV).

• Strong engineering mindset: proficient in Python with a focus on product-driven development; we prioritize clean code, understanding of design patterns, and robust engineering practices.

• Data proficiency: advanced SQL skills; capability to independently and effectively construct complex datasets in ClickHouse and work with MongoDB.

• Understanding of MLOps: practical experience with experiment tracking tools and awareness of production workflows (Docker, Git, CI/CD).

• Independence: ability to decompose problems, select the appropriate technology stack (or rationalize a non-ML solution), and deliver solutions to production.
