Senior Messaging Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Report to the Agile Master of the Messaging Value Stream.

• Provide second-line support for SMS, MMS, and SMS Firewall services.

• Assess internal and external operational processes to enhance repair efficiency.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and track the execution of enhancement actions.

• Be prepared to lead the repair team squad by managing, directing, and coordinating team activities as needed.

• Monitor network and service availability and quality while performing both proactive and reactive maintenance actions.

• Collaborate closely with the Customer Care team to identify and resolve issues reported by customers.

• Conduct incident management activities alongside planned works.

• Work with vendors, oversee their performance, and ensure adequate service delivery.

• Engage in the rollout of new services and network projects in conjunction with engineering teams.

• Participate in guard duty services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, primarily in Messaging, Signaling, or Roaming domains.

• Familiarity with telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI standards.

• Solid understanding of SS7 / SIGTRAN, LTE, GSM call flows, and roaming scenarios.

• Strong operational knowledge of Linux.

• Upper-intermediate English proficiency is advantageous.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or ICT.

• Experience with HTTPS (APIs), MMS, Kibana, or Openmind software.

• Knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools (containers, Ansible, CI/CD, Splunk, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.).

• Understanding of Docker.

• Experience with IT tools and scripting languages such as Splunk or Python.
