• Oversee comprehensive factory integration projects, managing everything from design to deployment and optimization.
• Facilitate the connectivity of manufacturing tools with enterprise systems such as MES, EAP, RMS, RTD, SPC, and FDC.
• Establish architecture and integration strategies for smart factory solutions.
• Collaborate closely with semiconductor equipment, automation systems, and software platforms.
• Enable effective communication through industry protocols (e.g., SECS/GEM, EAP).
• Design and execute MES/EAP-related software solutions, including automation frameworks and integration components for semiconductor manufacturing systems, as well as equipment automation validation.
• Develop and maintain EAP driver automation, SECS/GEM communication flows, equipment interfaces, and manufacturing data exchanges.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including process, equipment, IT, and operations.
• Assist in the deployment of factory automation, data collection, and analytics solutions.
• Offer technical leadership, troubleshooting support, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate meetings regarding all stages of the product and project lifecycle (requirement gathering, specification, development and testing, delivery, and sign-off).
• Identify solutions for customer requirements through MES application. This encompasses analyzing and understanding customer manufacturing challenges and requirements, comprehending the customer environment and documenting its processes and procedures, mapping these processes and procedures onto CIM components, and collaborating with software engineers on MES application functionality and operation. Additionally, it includes identifying the requirements for features beyond the standard product offerings.
• Stay informed about new technologies and product developments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or factory automation, specifically in configuring an MES system in a production semiconductor environment (preferably with 300 mm and backend experience).
• In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing systems such as FAB300, FACTORYworks, SiView, CamStar, Critical Manufacturing MES, and the wafer fabrication factory floor.
• Proficiency in C++ Programming, C# programming, Web programming, and SQL Programming is preferred.
• Strong background in software engineering.
• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience with MES, EAP, and system integration.
• Expertise in equipment communication protocols like SECS/GEM.
• Demonstrated experience in leading semiconductor environments (preferably Applied Materials).
• Solid understanding of fab operations, workflows, and automation architecture.
• Experience supporting semiconductor customers during greenfield fab construction, smart factory system implementation, equipment integration, MES/EAP deployment, and production ramp-up phases.
