Senior Medical Sciences Liaison / MSL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold scientific and medical expertise in designated therapeutic areas and disease states pertinent to AQST products.

• Identify, nurture, and oversee relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).

• Analyze and communicate balanced, factual scientific, clinical, and health economic information.

• Spearhead initiatives to discover, foster, and integrate contributions and insights from KOLs.

• Recognize growth opportunities and medical contributions that support or expand programs and therapies.

• Collect and assess new data relevant to AQST products and therapeutic interests.

• Provide project support aligned with established objectives.

• Assist with unsolicited medical information inquiries.

• Support continuing medical education (CME) initiatives and investigator-initiated research endeavors.

• Manage relationships with priority KOLs across academic and community environments within a designated geographic area.

• Function independently from the Commercial team in accordance with company compliance policies.

• Report to the Field Director of Medical Affairs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral-level degree in a medical and/or scientific discipline is required, such as PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, DNP, or equivalent.

• A relevant medical and/or scientific degree accompanied by substantial related experience may be accepted.

• A minimum of 3–5 years in a pertinent pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry position or healthcare role is required.

• Experience in allergy/immunology is highly preferred.

• Pediatric experience is beneficial.

• Must be able to travel 60% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel as required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships.

• Capable of organizing, prioritizing, working effectively, and functioning independently in a fast-paced field-based environment.

• Excellent presentation and writing abilities.

• Results-driven and self-motivated.

• Final candidates will be required to complete a drug test and background check before employment commences.
