Senior Medical Science Liaison, Rare Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Key Medical Experts and healthcare professionals to enhance confidence in clinical decisions concerning disease states and Biogen products.

• Establish profound, strategic, long-lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Act as a responsive, solutions-oriented liaison to leaders in the medical community.

• Participate in projects and initiatives that align with the US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics.

• Achieve qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance goals, standards, and metrics.

• Implement Key Medical Expert engagement plans in partnership with field and non-field colleagues.

• Gather and report medical insights from KME/HCPs using Veeva.

• Cover the regions of Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced scientific or clinical degree is required.

• A doctoral-level degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) is strongly preferred.

• Experience as a Field Medical Science Liaison is required.

• Must reside within the territory: Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.

• Strong communication skills are essential.

• Comfortable with using and learning new technology, tools, and systems.

• Must be able to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.

• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.

• Authorization and capability to drive a company-leased vehicle or rental are necessary.

• Clinical experience and subject matter expertise in Rare Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Friedreich Ataxia, and/or Spinal Muscular Atrophy are preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
