This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Deliver clinical and health economic insights concerning disease states and the optimal use of Genentech medicines, including both approved products and those in development.
• Interact with healthcare professionals, population health decision-makers, and patients within the designated region.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to jointly develop the local medical strategy and fulfill customer needs.
• Ensure a seamless customer experience for therapeutic-area-specific clients in the region.
• Exhibit scientific knowledge regarding assigned molecules/products and therapeutic areas when communicating with thought leaders and healthcare decision-makers.
• Establish and utilize relationships with external scientific and medical customers to stay informed on evolving healthcare trends.
• Involve in discussions around value/cost-of-care and manage adverse-event topics.
• Engage in ongoing therapeutic-area education and skill enhancement programs.
• Comply with applicable guidelines and procedures.
• Convey customer insights to key stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA, etc.).
• BSN with substantial field medical experience in a pharmaceutical company.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in clinical, managed care, or industry environments.
• Knowledge of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and ICH (International Conference on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use).
• Familiarity with relevant therapeutic areas.
• Thorough understanding of product and safety profiles.
• Knowledge of managed care, health economics, reimbursement, and the legal and regulatory framework in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector.
• Previous experience as a field medical science liaison is preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical or health economic research experience is preferred.
• 2 years' experience in the therapeutic area is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Phase IV/post-marketing drug development is preferred.
• Business travel by air or car is necessary for regular external business meetings and occasional internal company meetings, up to 70% of the time.
• Significant use of a company-provided vehicle is required.
• Applicants should reside within 30 miles of a major airport and within 50 miles of the designated territory.
• Valid eligibility to operate a company vehicle or another vehicle for company business, subject to motor vehicle record evaluations.
• A discretionary annual bonus may be offered based on individual and company performance.
