Senior Medical Science Liaison – Immunology, Dermatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the territory that aligns with the Medical Affairs objectives and strategy.

• Facilitate two-way scientific dialogue with KOLs and HCPs to gain insights into treatment landscape perspectives, trends, unmet needs, and educational gaps.

• Cultivate professional relationships with both community and academic HCPs and KOLs.

• Utilize MSL tools, insights, and AI resources to strategize customer engagements and enhance decision-making, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Assess provider educational needs and deliver tailored, scientifically sound responses.

• Present scientific data through discussions and presentations, converting complex clinical evidence into clear, meaningful dialogues.

• Gather, synthesize, and disseminate actionable insights to guide medical strategy, asset planning, and interdisciplinary discussions.

• Assist investigators and internal stakeholders with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

• Provide objective, compliant responses to unsolicited research and clinical inquiries.

• Implement Medical Affairs strategy and MSL priorities while adjusting plans to accommodate changing data and organizational goals.

• Collaborate compliantly with MSL field teams, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, clinical operations, Sales, and Marketing.

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-directed study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer interactions.

• Promote inclusion and belonging while supporting collaborative One J&J objectives.

• Stay informed about regulatory, healthcare compliance, ethical conduct, and Medical Affairs SOP requirements.

• Create a performance and development plan and execute leadership projects with the direct manager.

• Accurately and compliantly fulfill administrative obligations, including expense reports and activity documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is required, including PharmD, PhD, MD, or Advanced Practice Provider credentials.

• Postgraduate experience is necessary for doctoral-level candidates, ideally with therapeutic clinical experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, showcasing proven success in an MSL role.

• Strong expertise in scientific and therapeutic domains.

• Proficient in research, data analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Capacity to support a defined territory with up to 70% travel.

• A valid US Driver’s License is mandatory.

• Preferred completion of residency or fellowship.

• Familiarity or experience in the relevant therapeutic area is advantageous.

• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, and remote technologies.

• Related clinical, research, or pharmaceutical experience is beneficial.

• Proven dedication to learning and integrating emerging technologies, such as AI.
