This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Supports the medical business objectives and goals of one of Sobi’s rheumatology products by providing strategic leadership and executing tactical initiatives.
• Offers strategic and scientific medical affairs leadership for a Rheumatology product currently in development.
• Assists in the creation and implementation of the US medical strategy, tactical plans, and healthcare provider (HCP) engagement strategies.
• Collaborates with field medical teams to engage and educate healthcare providers (HCPs), medical organizations, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
• Represents the Medical Science organization in cross-functional initiatives as necessary.
• Provides feedback and insights regarding medical affairs deliverables and cross-functional partners, including aiding in the design and implementation of Medical Affairs plans.
• Develops and enhances KOL and key institution engagement plans, actively participating in KOL engagement and development.
• Aids in planning and executing advisory boards and educational activities such as webinars, medical roundtables, symposiums, and congress participation.
• Works closely with global medical and clinical colleagues to ensure that US perspectives and insights are included in global initiatives.
• An advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in life sciences is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Director.
• Previous experience with product launches is essential.
• Proven capability to shape and execute comprehensive medical strategies.
• Experience in addressing data gaps, developing solutions, and publishing clinical data, including direct involvement in publication strategy development, data analysis, and execution.
• A solid understanding of US legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments; capable of taking on multiple roles and adapting to changing needs.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex scientific concepts.
• A strategic and analytical mindset paired with strong scientific and clinical expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team-building skills; fosters a positive and inspiring work environment.
• Strong partnership skills; effective collaboration with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams at all levels.

• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.
• Experience in rheumatology is preferred.
