This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide scientific and strategic leadership across various accounts, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and client goals.
• Spearhead the creation of medical strategies while collaborating with the Brand Strategy and Engagement teams during the overall brand planning process.
• Supervise and validate the clinical and medical relevance of deliverables to guarantee they are scientifically sound and impactful.
• Act as a primary medical point of contact for clients, cultivating trust and credibility through expertise and effective communication.
• Deliver educational and strategic presentations during client and new business meetings to a wide range of audiences.
• Assist in new business efforts by contributing to pitch preparations and client proposals.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the medical team, including Scientific Associates and Associate Medical Directors, to encourage professional development.
• Ensure the quality and punctuality of work produced by the team, complying with both agency and client standards.
• Onboard new team members by providing brand-specific knowledge and familiarizing them with agency processes.
• Conduct thorough research to gain a deep understanding of therapeutic areas, including safety data, mechanisms of action, and treatment paradigms.
• Contribute to the creation of educational materials, ensuring they align with client strategies.
• Keep abreast of emerging clinical data, industry trends, and guidelines to inform team strategies.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Account, Strategy, Project Management, and Creative to incorporate medical insights into deliverables.
• Partner with external stakeholders to enhance the relevance and value of the agency's scientific offerings.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the medical department.
• MD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant scientific field is preferred.
• Over 7 years of experience in medical advertising, communications, or education, including leadership positions.
• Strong understanding of clinical research principles and familiarity with platforms such as PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov.
• Experience in publication writing, including primary manuscripts, reviews, abstracts, and poster development, as well as publication planning.
• Proven capability to interpret clinical data and deliver strategic insights to multidisciplinary teams.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, and research databases.
• Demonstrated success in team management and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and a commitment to exceeding expectations for the team, agency, and clients.
