Senior Mechanical Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive design concepts, scheme definitions, and detailed design solutions utilizing CAD software, including Inventor.

• Engage in piping systems, mechanical flow diagrams, and the generation of general arrangement, assembly, component, and fabrication drawings.

• Generate scoping calculations and component specifications that comply with BS/ISO standards and legal regulations (e.g., LOLER, EMUA).

• Ensure that designs conform to the AEIL Quality Management System, delivering results within agreed timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.

⛳️ Requirements

• HND in a relevant engineering/design discipline is preferred, or HNC with pertinent experience.

• Significant experience in mechanical design aligned with BS/ISO standards.

• Expertise in both 2D and 3D CAD software.

• Background in design for manufacture, pipework, pressure vessels, and structural steelwork.

• Experience with Autodesk Revit and GD&T is desirable.

• Knowledge of BS8888 and ASME Y14.5 drawing standards is advantageous.
