This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee the design and implementation of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water, public health, and drainage systems.
• Prepare and evaluate calculations, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Deliver mechanical design packages throughout RIBA Stages 1–6.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, architectural, and sustainability consultants.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Present technical solutions, design proposals, and project updates to clients.
• Integrate low-carbon technologies such as heat pumps, MVHR, district heating, and renewable energy systems into project designs.
• Work alongside sustainability teams to ensure compliance with Part L, TM54, TM65, BREEAM, and energy strategy requirements.
• Advocate for whole-life carbon considerations and energy-efficient design principles.
• Review contractor submissions, address technical queries, and provide support during the construction phase.
• Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance within the engineering team.
• Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Possess Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or be actively pursuing chartership through CIBSE or IMechE.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE Guides, BS/EN Standards, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering mechanical building services designs within the UK market.
• Background in commercial offices, residential developments, hotels, retail, and mixed-use projects.
• Extensive experience in designing HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water, public health, and drainage systems.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and other relevant building services design software.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing project delivery.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, technical analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities at the same time.
• Willingness to work a mid-shift schedule to support and collaborate with UK-based teams and stakeholders.
• Fully remote position.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection is required.
• A suitable home office setup is needed for effective collaboration.
