This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Design, create, and sustain SQL-based data models and Power BI dashboards that integrate payer claims, EDI 852/867, copay, PAP, and specialty pharmacy data.
• Develop automated reporting solutions suitable for production that replace manual spreadsheet processes.
• Create self-service analytics products for Market Access leaders, payer account managers, trade managers, and field sales teams.
• Implement data engineering practices, including validation, version control, and thorough documentation.
• Integrate AI and Generative AI functionalities into dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Prototype and operationalize machine learning models for predicting abandonment risk, persistence, and gross-to-net forecasting.
• Evaluate payer claims data to identify coverage trends, assess prior authorization and step-edit impacts, analyze prescription abandonment, and understand net price dynamics.
• Assess wholesaler inventory and sales-out data for insights on channel trends, demand signals, and inventory health.
• Convert patient services data into actionable insights aimed at enhancing patient experiences.
• Collaborate with teams from Payer Strategy, Trade, Patient Services, Field Sales, Finance, Government Pricing, IT, Master Data, vendors, and external partners.
• Establish KPIs and recognize coverage shifts, channel disruptions, and risks to patient access.
• Develop analytics on the prescription journey that encompasses referral, BV/PA, copay adjudication, first fill, refill, persistence, and discontinuation.
• Identify points of drop-off in the patient journey and opportunities for intervention.
• Generate insights related to copay programs, PAP eligibility, and optimization of EMR/e-coupons.
• Monitor drivers of gross-to-net and identify variances early on.
• Assist in demand forecasting, tracking contract performance, and measuring pull-through outcomes.
• Utilize AI-driven forecasting and scenario modeling for gross-to-net assumptions and financial planning.
• Create standardized business rules, definitions, and reporting logic.
• Address data quality issues and enhance data freshness and completeness.
• Maintain reliable, audit-ready datasets for executive reporting.
• Advocate for responsible AI usage, data privacy, model transparency, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
• A BS / BA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Applied Math, Economics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required; equivalent experience is also acceptable.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare environments is preferred.
• Practical experience with payer claims, wholesaler EDI 852/867, specialty pharmacy data feeds, copay/PAP transactional data, and comparable sales-out data.
• Experience in designing and delivering production-grade Power BI dashboards and SQL-based data models.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and/or Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT Enterprise, or Python ML libraries.
• Strong knowledge of gross-to-net, payer coverage, formulary dynamics, prior authorization, prescription abandonment, and specialty distribution.
