This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Development of Test Systems: Design and implement test systems and protocols for manufacturing processes, which involves creating test plans, cases, and scripts to evaluate the functionality and performance of hardware.
• Development of Test Software: Construct, validate, release, and maintain automated test software and scripts to optimize the testing process.
• Test Maintenance: Provide support and upkeep for manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) level test software and infrastructure utilized in production facilities.
• Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation for manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) related to test procedures, specifications, and infrastructure.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance teams.
• Ongoing Learning: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software manufacturing test development/sustaining, specifically with enterprise server, storage, or networking products, is essential.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in software manufacturing test development/sustaining with enterprise server, storage, or networking products, along with some college coursework in place of a 4-year degree, will also be considered.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, BASH, C, and C++ is advantageous.
• Linux development expertise with a solid grasp of its fundamentals, particularly CentOS/Ubuntu.
• Proficiency in hardware and API solutions for controlling, managing, and testing L10 devices (servers, network and storage SSDs, NVMe), including IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, and memtester.
• Skilled in creating and configuring Virtual Machines (VMs) using VMware, including configurations like DHCP, PXE boot, and nginx.
• Experience with cutting-edge networking systems, hardware, software, and protocols, including but not limited to enterprise Ethernet data center switching/routing L1, L2, and L3 (BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP); familiarity with Arista CloudVision is a plus.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools, with Git being preferred.
• Solid understanding of professional software engineering practices throughout the complete software development life cycle, covering coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Ability to travel globally up to 10% as required.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in multi-site and multi-cultural working environments is a plus.
