Senior Manual QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough manual testing of complete payment workflows, from the initiation of checkout to the confirmation of settlement.

• Assess dynamic surcharge calculations for various card types, including Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover.

• Evaluate split settlement scenarios to ensure accurate distribution among Partners, Merchants, Promoters, and the Platform.

• Validate the cost calculation engine, encompassing interchange fees, acquirer fees, and platform fees.

• Develop and maintain detailed test cases for all payment scenarios.

• Record test execution outcomes with well-defined pass/fail criteria and supporting evidence.

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) alongside Partner engineering teams.

• Relay test status, obstacles, and quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of manual software testing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in payment processing, fintech, or financial services.

• Demonstrated history of testing intricate, multi-system integrations.

• Familiarity with agile development practices and sprint-based delivery methods.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and capability to test using tools such as Postman or Insomnia.

• Proficient in SQL for database validation and management of test data.

• Experience in testing webhook integrations and asynchronous event flows.

• Knowledge of .NET or Java applications, as well as AWS / Azure cloud services.

• Understanding of payment card data flows, including PAN, tokenization, and BIN lookup.

• Exceptional written communication skills for test documentation and bug reporting.

• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
