Senior Managing Consultant – Property Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations from a support and administrative perspective, coordinating intricate logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects while ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.

• Conduct technical assessments of property risks related to fire, natural disasters, and associated hazards, providing expert advice and leadership on complex client accounts.

• Work in partnership with client brokerage teams to achieve favorable outcomes and enhance business development efforts to expand the practice.

• Create technically accurate reports, plan review letters, and consultative guidance for clients that adhere to stringent quality assurance standards.

• Manage project work plans, budgets, and resources while complying with company policies and ongoing risk enhancement methodologies.

• Uphold client confidentiality and foster strong, long-lasting client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in risk management or property engineering consulting.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering field, ideally in fire science, fire protection engineering technology, or fire protection engineering.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in preparing professional or technical reports.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Dedication to professional development through ongoing education, certifications, and mentorship.

• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Certified Fire Protection Specialist credential is preferred.

• Experience in commercial insurance or brokerage settings.

• Proven capability to apply national standards (NFPA, FM Global) and diagnostic skills to devise and implement risk mitigation strategies.

• Demonstrated success in business development and managing client relationships.
