
Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement sourcing strategies as an essential component of our approach to meet client goals for IT and related categories, including hardware, software, and services.
• Provide insights and expertise to clients and internal teams throughout the entire client relationship lifecycle.
• Assess client spending and procurement processes to uncover opportunities for enhancing efficiency, ensuring process compliance, improving quality, and reducing costs.
• Oversee and successfully deliver multiple projects within set timeframes and with the expected outcomes.
• Construct, manage, and execute large-scale and multi-client RF(x)s utilizing our sourcing software.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and review RF(x) documents and strategies directly with clients.
• Create templates in Ariba.
• Collect relevant information and input data.
• Initiate RF(x)s and track vendor progress.
• Process extensive client data to compile market baskets and vendor panels for RF(x).
• Summarize RF(x) outcomes for presentation to SMEs or other internal stakeholders.
• Source suppliers and cultivate strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate optimal pricing and services using LogicSource’s sourcing methodology.
• Advise internal and client stakeholders on improving specifications and value engineering to promote cost containment and savings.
• Ensure that strategies can be executed in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures.
• Enhance LogicSource’s vendor ecosystem by maintaining an in-depth understanding of and relationships with the national vendor landscape.
• Counsel client teams on vendor performance, strategic partnerships, and opportunities to leverage total spending under management.
• Maintain a supplier management framework and process for vetting, onboarding, monitoring, and auditing suppliers.
• Assist onsite teams in resolving vendor-related issues as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest industry innovations and continuously share insights with those serving our clients.
• Identify and disseminate technical best practices across various client engagements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a high level of satisfaction for both internal and external clients.
• Develop and present presentations to clients.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of seven to ten years of cross-functional experience in managing procurement processes, vendors, and contracts at the Director or Manager level.
• Proven success in IT and Indirect Procurement or supply chain management roles, with experience in developing RF(x)s for indirect materials.
• Expertise in IT Hardware, Software, Telecom, and all associated IT/Telecom Services.
• Experience in additional Indirect Procurement categories, such as Legal and Professional Services, is advantageous.
• A demonstrated willingness and capacity to learn.
• Prior experience engaging with clients and/or stakeholders across all organizational levels, particularly within a service-oriented industry (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing).
• Strong organizational and project management abilities to ensure timely delivery.
• Familiarity with e-sourcing software is a plus, with particular emphasis on SAP Ariba.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to effectively engage with suppliers and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Experience in inventory management, requisitioning, fulfillment, and distribution is an asset.
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to meet client expectations, influencing others or escalating as necessary.
• Proven aptitude for building relationships and gaining credibility in areas beyond the defined scope of work.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Analytically skilled with strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
