This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of Sales Engineers with expertise in Ads, Leads, CAPI, and Reporting APIs — overseeing capacity planning, support rotations, and their professional development.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for intricate or unclear integration scoping, discerning what is supportable by SEs and what necessitates engineering intervention.
• Remain actively involved as a working manager: provide additional support during peak periods, troubleshoot integration challenges with the team, and uphold credibility as a technical expert.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on feature prioritization and roadmap strategies, crafting proposals informed by on-the-ground integration challenges and client insights.
• Own the comprehensive SE engagement model: managing how account teams request assistance, how clients are onboarded, and how work is tracked and allocated across the team.
• Design and sustain automation systems to enhance the team's efficiency — including AI-driven task assignments, intelligent knowledge bots, and synchronization across communication and project management platforms.
• Maintain the team's authoritative SOP library: encompassing configuration guides, troubleshooting manuals, onboarding templates, and pacing references.
• Identify and implement self-service patterns that diminish manual SE involvement while preserving client experience and integration quality.
• Advocate for the external developer's perspective in internal product discussions, transforming recurring technical challenges into practical roadmap contributions.
• 8+ years of pertinent experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or a comparable client-facing technical role with direct API/integration exposure.
• 5+ years of experience managing or leading a technical team in a player-coach role — adept at switching contexts between one-on-ones and live debugging sessions.
• Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0 / API key authentication, webhooks, and event-driven data architectures.
• Proven ability to operate at the intersection of sales and engineering — capable of scoping a deal and debugging a payload in the same discussion.
• A history of establishing processes, documentation, and tools from the ground up in ambiguous, fast-paced environments lacking a predefined playbook.
• Exceptional written communication skills: able to produce client-facing technical documentation, internal SOPs, and cross-functional proposals with equal precision.
• A proactive, systems-focused mindset — preferring to build automation solutions rather than simply increasing headcount to address operational challenges.
• Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage.
• 15 days of paid time off (PTO) (accrual begins on the date of hire and increases after 2+ years of service).
• 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday.
• Up to 14 weeks of parental leave.
• Monthly wellness subsidy.
• Reimbursement for work-from-home expenses.
• Flexible spending account.
• 401(k) retirement savings plan.
• Employee stock purchase plan.
