• Take ownership of the complete pre-sales process, ensuring that the Sales Engineering team consistently provides high-quality, value-driven customer interactions that enhance pipeline and improve closing results.
• Develop a high-performing and motivated SE team through individualized coaching and one-on-ones, establishing clear development pathways, ongoing feedback, mentoring, and defined career advancement opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers across various markets to facilitate network, security, and application access transformations using Zscaler, while acting as their trusted advocate to influence product strategy within the organization.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise pre-sales or solutions engineering (security, networking, cloud, or SaaS) dealing with complex, multi-stakeholder agreements.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading and developing Sales Engineers (including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development).
• Demonstrated capability to manage the regional pre-sales process: supporting the pipeline, devising deal strategies, and collaborating on forecasting with the Sales team.
• Strong leadership skills in engaging with executive customers, conducting workshops, sharing outcome-focused narratives, and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.
• A solid foundation in security and networking concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, identity management, secure connectivity, and cloud security) with a proven ability to collaborate across functions and a readiness to travel.
