This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of data engineers, providing clear guidance, constructive feedback, and opportunities for career advancement.

• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and ongoing learning.

• Enhance engagement through effective one-on-one meetings, performance management, and strategic team development planning.

• Take responsibility for the successful implementation of end-to-end data pipelines and platform capabilities across both batch and streaming architectures.

• Maintain high standards of data quality, scalability, reliability, and observability.

• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Business teams to ensure delivery aligns with organizational needs.

• Offer architectural guidance and technical direction across the data domain.

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, best practices, and design principles.

• Advocate for coding standards, testing methodologies, and CI/CD practices to guarantee high-quality, production-ready systems.

• Act as the primary contact for stakeholders within the data domain.

• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on data platforms and systems.

• More than 6 years of experience in people leadership, managing engineering teams.

• Strong expertise in Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.

• Experience in data engineering and pipeline development (both batch and streaming).

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PySpark, along with data modeling skills.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and distributed systems.

• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.

• Demonstrated capability to lead teams within Agile environments.
