This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.
• Take ownership and oversee Crunchbase’s daily social media activities on platforms such as LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other emerging channels.
• Design and sustain a social and editorial calendar that aligns with company goals, industry trends, and timely discussions in the market.
• Produce platform-specific content that includes written posts, short-form videos, carousels, clips, and data-driven visual materials.
• Discover and elevate unique narratives utilizing Crunchbase data, focusing on startup funding trends, acquisition activities, founder momentum, and shifts in the market.
• Develop and refine Crunchbase’s social voice to be insightful, engaging, and credible to founders, investors, operators, and enterprise buyers.
• Track platform trends, audience behavior, internet culture, and emerging content formats to pinpoint opportunities for experimentation and audience expansion.
• Evaluate content performance, engagement metrics, and competitive activity to continuously enhance strategy and execution.
• Formulate and implement Crunchbase’s community engagement strategy within relevant online communities and forums.
• Cultivate and sustain Crunchbase’s presence on Reddit through meaningful participation and audience interaction.
• Manage Crunchbase’s G2 presence, including review generation, responses, reputation management, and audience engagement initiatives.
• Identify additional communities, forums, and industry spaces where Crunchbase should actively engage, such as Slack groups, Quora, and niche business communities.
• Monitor community discussions and relay insights, customer pain points, recurring themes, and market opportunities back to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in positioning Crunchbase as a trusted and influential voice in startup, investment, and technology discussions.
• Experiment with new content formats, emerging platforms, and AI-driven discovery experiences to broaden audience reach and engagement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Communications, Product Marketing, and Revenue teams to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign priorities.
• Support broader brand awareness, thought leadership, and audience growth initiatives through strategic social and community engagement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in social media, community management, content marketing, or related roles.
• A demonstrated portfolio of personally created content across multiple platforms, showcasing audience engagement and strong editorial instincts.
• Experience in managing brand presence and audience interaction across various social and community platforms.
• Preferred experience in video editing, short-form content production, and visual storytelling.
• Experience in B2B technology, SaaS, fintech, or data-driven brands is preferred.
• Familiarity with G2, Capterra, or similar review and reputation management platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms is preferred.
