Senior Manager, Security Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Guide a team of security engineers, promoting a culture of responsibility and engineering excellence.

• Oversee the comprehensive security roadmap, balancing proactive initiatives with security operations.

• Engage directly with critical alert triage, incident response, and detection engineering to uphold our security posture.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to incorporate "security-by-design," advocating for security investments that enhance (rather than hinder) velocity.

• Manage our CorpSec/IT functions, including onboarding, endpoint security, and compliance, ensuring they operate smoothly and without friction.

• Take the lead in securely integrating AI across the organization and product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a strong individual contributor in security or infrastructure engineering, with a successful transition to engineering management.

• Deep technical expertise in at least one security domain (Detection, AppSec, or InfraSec) and the capability to contribute technically to code or design reviews.

• Proven ability to advance a complex security strategy across organizational boundaries (e.g., collaborating with PMs/Product).

• Operational discipline: You approach security operations (on-call, alerts, incidents) with a high level of rigor.

• Startup agility: A humble, "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality; you are a leader who executes, not just directs.
