Senior Manager, R&D Product Manager

📋 Description

• Lead the governance and data product strategies across essential clinical areas, including program management, clinical operations, data management, financial governance, resource management, and operational metrics.

• Convert governance standards into quantifiable business results, establish target KPIs (e.g., shortened time-to-insight, enhanced decision accuracy), align with R&D goals, and facilitate execution roadmaps.

• Establish and uphold the product vision, roadmap, and capability maturity model for R&D data governance and data products.

• Oversee the product backlog, prioritize features, and manage releases in collaboration with engineering and platform teams.

• Propel the implementation of data governance tools (metadata catalog, data lineage, access controls) and integrate them into the delivered data products.

• Collaborate with R&D business leaders to define and deliver reliable, reusable, and governed data products that foster strategic insights and operational efficiency.

• Track data quality metrics (completeness, accuracy, timeliness) in conjunction with data engineering; coordinate remediation efforts.

• Work alongside teams supporting R&D platforms, such as EDC, CTMS, IRT, eTMF, and enterprise data platforms, to convert functional requirements into governed data pipelines and trusted data products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in data stewardship, governance, or data management; preferably within Pharma R&D.

• Demonstrated success in defining and implementing governance frameworks and leading cross-functional teams.

• Extensive knowledge of R&D data domains, FAIR principles, pertinent regulatory requirements, and data standards (CDISC, SDTM).

• Practical experience with data governance and management platforms (e.g., Informatica CDGC for cataloging and lineage, Informatica CDQ for data quality, Informatica marketplace, Reltio for master data management, Databricks for data product development and sharing, and tools for policy-driven access controls).
