This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver coaching and support in the field, ensuring the effective implementation of tools, tactics, messages, and training provided by the organization.
• Engage in the creation and enhancement of marketing strategies, tactics, and messages by consistently surveying and coaching the execution efforts in the field.
• Aid in the development and implementation of onboarding training for new employees.
• Indirectly oversee the Field Force Trainers responsible for new hire and ongoing training execution.
• Collaborate with field leadership to identify skill gaps, training requirements, and coaching opportunities through field observations.
• Work alongside Senior Leadership to execute field coaching initiatives and compile coaching reports.
• Offer feedback and guidance to the home office based on regular field observations, preparing for regional and national meetings while highlighting best practices.
• Play a crucial role in designing and executing development workshops at regional and national meetings to support the goals of marketing and leadership.
• Establish a network of internal and external resources related to rare diseases to support field development through advocacy, rare disease events, and national conferences.
• Collaborate with leadership and the home office to apply critical skills and performance models relevant to family access during the hiring process, professional evaluations, and development at the field level, as well as across internal stakeholders to enhance awareness of the family access role.
• Assist in identifying, coaching, and cultivating transferable skills specific to the family access team in preparation for Biogen roles and contributions beyond family access.
• Work cooperatively with Biogen counterparts throughout the organization to identify best practices and adopt a unified ONEBIOGEN approach to training, development, and field execution.
• Uphold cultural values and interpretations of family access to support leadership with tangible examples of these values in action.
• Identify and assess ongoing development needs in patient engagement, motivational interviewing, and national skill-based programs.
• Design and implement additional national training sessions.
• Lead collaborations with external vendors to address any training requirements.
• Assist in the development and execution of a sustainable patient support model for engaging with patients during the maintenance phase of their journey.
• Provide individual coaching, evaluate metrics in collaboration with patient services and leadership, and coordinate closely with marketing to support the execution of key strategic initiatives.
• Stay informed on all Biogen, disease, patient engagement, and product-related resources/models to address current and future patient care needs.
• Participate in crucial cross-functional task forces with business partners, including marketing insights, competitive intelligence, patient services, and marketing.
• Bachelor’s Degree; advanced education or certification is desirable with a focus on adult learning, leadership, project management, or other applicable areas.
• 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech commercial role.
• 3+ years in family access, reimbursement, or a similar field role; experience in rare disease and patient-facing roles is preferred.
• Strong aspiration to lead a field-based team as a part of career advancement.
• A diverse range of commercial experiences is highly desirable.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority is preferred.
• Previous experience successfully executing initiatives and projects while navigating legal, regulatory, and compliance environments is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel 60-70% of the time, including overnight and national coverage.
