Senior Manager, Product & AI Policy

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with our product and business teams to advance Airbnb's strategic goals.

• Act as a vital contributor in pinpointing policy weaknesses and crafting global policies that ensure a superior experience across Airbnb.

• Empower our business and product teams to operate swiftly and confidently, supported by policy frameworks that encourage innovation.

• Formulate policies for AI-driven product initiatives, establishing guidelines that safeguard the community.

• Grasp the needs of hosts and guests while working in tandem with our business, design, and product teams.

• Influence how millions of hosts and guests interact with Airbnb and their trust in the platform.

• Spearhead policy development for both new and existing product domains, including AI-driven features, by drafting clear and adaptable policy frameworks that align with product advancements.

• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Cultivate, establish, and sustain relationships with the leadership of internal business units.

• Direct policy operationalization efforts in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Assist in product and AI feature launches by providing appropriate risk mitigation guidance and policy deliverables.

• Proactively leverage data, research, and community insights to assess existing policies, identify areas for enhancement, and drive revisions before issues arise.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a Policy, Legal, or Trust and Safety role.

• Previous leadership in product policy, with proven experience in developing AI policy to support AI-driven product initiatives.

• Knowledge of the AI policy landscape.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and research skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Outstanding writing and communication abilities.

• Sound business judgment, strategic thinking, and the capability to perform well under pressure.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business teams, translating policy requirements into practical solutions that align with commercial goals.

• Experience in a matrixed environment and the ability to resolve complex issues through cross-functional collaboration.

• Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making, including the proactive use of data to identify opportunities for policy enhancement.

• Capability to clarify and simplify complex information for others.
