This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Engage in the development of the Global Category and Sourcing strategies for Vapor.
• Provide insights to the Global New Categories team regarding U.S. Market-specific needs, including regulatory, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considerations.
• Assist Global Vapor and Sourcing Managers in executing sourcing and category plans that align with global standards and policies.
• Aid Global Vapor Sourcing Managers in specific vapor contract negotiations to secure strong terms and conditions that effectively manage service delivery and commercial risk, ensuring value for money.
• Support global supplier management as needed.
• Collaborate with Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers on specific savings and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, coordinating with relevant local and global business functions.
• Assist Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers in defining and executing Global and local Business Continuity Plans alongside proactive risk management efforts.
• Contribute to Focus for Growth (F4G) projects related to vapor while supporting the achievement of Vapor Productivity targets through NPI-led project management.
• Help the R&D team with the FDA submission process (Premarket Tobacco Applications - PMTAs) to facilitate New Product Introduction.
• Support Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers as well as local Finance and Supply Chain teams in the annual budgeting process (CoPlan) and monthly Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Participate in negotiations with Vapor suppliers in collaboration with the Global Procurement team, assisting in the decision-making process for problem resolution.
• Help implement any changes to Procurement processes and operational procedures related to Vapor.
• Aid Global Vapor Category and Sourcing Managers in executing programs that ensure compliance with Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, Company Safety Rules, ESG glidepath, and regulatory requirements applicable to Vapor.
• Oversee negotiations and Supplier Relationship management for unique suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Procurement Professional, Supply Chain Manager, Industrial Production Manager, or in a related Industrial Engineering role.
• Experience in sourcing and supplier management.
• Proficient in stakeholder management.
• Competency in project management, including managing projects aimed at enhancing performance and service delivery.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to solve complex supply chain and procurement challenges.
• Familiarity with eProcurement tools such as Coupa, SAP, and iCertis.
• Skilled in digital and numerical analysis.
• Experience in contract management, including handling complex contracts with multi-country agreements and contractual terms to mitigate legal risks.
• Knowledge of U.S. Legislative and Regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations specific to the Tobacco Industry.
• Proficient in financial evaluation and accounting, including budgeting, cost management, and risk assessment.
• Understanding of total cost models and cost drivers.
• Knowledge of processes, timelines, and constraints for new product delivery.
• Experience in enterprise risk management and business continuity planning.
• Familiarity with SAP modules.
• Willingness to travel 5% domestically and 5% internationally for supplier visits including audits, negotiations, project supervision, and meetings with the Global Procurement Team.
