Senior Manager, Mass Tort & Environmental Specialty Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversees the Specialty Operations reinsurance claims function, managing intricate environmental and latent injury risks.

• Responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering team development.

• Directs the management and resolution of complex claims related to asbestos bodily injury.

• Supervises investigations, assessing coverage, liability, damages, and contractual commitments.

• Reviews and endorses coverage strategies to guarantee consistency and compliance with organizational standards.

• Establishes and enhances claims processes to boost efficiency and improve outcomes.

• Collaborates with Legal, Finance, Risk Management, and other stakeholders to mitigate risk and address complex challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in claims, insurance, or reinsurance.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and direct reports.

• Advanced knowledge in environmental and mass tort claims.

• Strong understanding of insurance/reinsurance contracts, coverage interpretation, and relevant case law.

• Comprehensive knowledge of claims processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
