Senior Manager, Infrastructure Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage operational support for distributed systems, infrastructure services, and computing hardware across global settings.

• Ensure top-notch Systems Operations support for on-premises, cloud, and shared-service platforms.

• Maintain responsibility for the reliability, availability, performance, recoverability, and operational readiness of infrastructure.

• Drive service management practices, governance in operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage both Linux and Windows platforms in Azure and on-premises environments.

• Oversee operations and lifecycle management of compute infrastructure, including UCS, blade, and virtualization platforms.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud, and Security teams to enhance operational supportability.

• Lead the response to major incidents, executive communications, root cause analysis, corrective measures, and problem management.

• Establish and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and indicators of operational health.

• Manage demand against capacity, prioritize incoming work, and drive capacity planning efforts.

• Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, patch compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives.

• Advocate for automation, observability, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, event correlation, and platform automation.

• Optimize infrastructure expenditure, asset use, budgeting, forecasting, and lifecycle management.

• Provide leadership across matrixed organizations and act as an operational partner to business leaders and technology executives.

• Build, nurture, and mentor high-performing global teams dedicated to operational excellence and client satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Operations, Systems Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Technology Leadership.

• More than 5 years of experience leading technical teams in large-scale enterprise settings.

• Proven experience in supporting hybrid infrastructure across both cloud and on-premises platforms.

• Expertise in managing large-scale Linux and Windows environments.

• Strong grasp of infrastructure operations, service management, and operational governance.

• Experience in leading major incident responses and service restorations in high-availability environments.

• Strong skills in prioritization based on value, risk, and capacity considerations.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities at the executive level.

• Ability to lead under pressure while managing competing priorities in high-visibility environments.

• Understanding of infrastructure architecture, resiliency, security, scalability, and operational supportability.

• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.

• Preferred: familiarity with virtualization, compute, storage, and enterprise infrastructure platforms.

• Preferred: experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation platforms, and observability solutions.

• Preferred: experience working in regulated industries and compliance-driven environments.

• Preferred: ITIL, Azure, or other relevant infrastructure certifications.
