Senior Manager, Government Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Offer expertise on FAR/DFARS regulations, cost accounting standards, and topics related to government accounting and compliance.

• Evaluate, investigate, analyze, and address concerns raised by government auditors.

• Draft formal written replies to government agencies.

• Compile and present compliance updates and significant issues to senior segment and corporate leadership.

• Supervise the SMS Intermediate Home Office, which includes Final Incurred Cost Proposals, Forward Pricing Allocation Proposals, and updates to the CASB Disclosure Statement.

• Ensure that SMS IHO's operational and cost accounting practices align with relevant regulations.

• Assist with IHO audits, encompassing FPAP, FICP, Cost Accounting Standards, and Business System evaluations.

• Organize compliance-related training sessions.

• Create and execute solutions to compliance challenges in a complex and evolving environment.

• Lead or assist with ad hoc compliance inquiries and special initiatives.

• Interact with DCMA, DCAA auditors, and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with at least 12 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or, alternatively, at least 16 years of relevant experience without a degree.

• Extensive knowledge of government accounting and experience in a defense contracting or government agency setting.

• Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).

• Previous experience collaborating with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) and DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency).

• Strong planning, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and across business segments.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with government clients and various levels within the organization.

• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment shaped by business needs and client demands.
