This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

• Oversee the strategy for metadata within the Commercial Biopharma division at Pfizer.

• Manage metadata governance and ensure alignment with enterprise systems and use cases at both global and regional levels.

• Work collaboratively with global data consumers to establish standardized data requirements.

• Create and maintain the roadmap for various types of content and domain-specific metadata.

• Lead initiatives for data quality reporting and enhancement activities.

• Partner with global leads at the SVP and VP levels to foster innovation that addresses changing business needs.

• Promote enhancements in the accuracy of global data.

• Ensure the consistent application and updating of the standardized data taxonomy.

• Continuously advance metadata practices to generate new business insights and value.

• Identify and implement industry best practices to refine Pfizer’s metadata strategy.

• Seek efficiencies and synergies among teams that manage or utilize metadata.

• Supervise a team of colleagues, including direct reports and contracted support.

• Over 10 years of experience in Operations Research, Data Governance, Data Strategy, or a similar role.

• A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required.

• Proven success in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to influence without formal authority, guiding business direction, priorities, and action plans.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities in collaboration with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong orientation towards customer service.
