Senior Manager, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Own the Vision & Execution: Establish and steer the comprehensive roadmap for one of the teams within the Kafka organization.

• Lead & Mentor: Cultivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team of engineers specializing in distributed systems.

• Drive High-Impact Results: Spearhead essential technical initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability, performance, scalability, and multi-tenancy.

• Foster Operational Excellence: Promote a robust culture of ownership and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate & Influence: Engage closely with product management, engineering leadership, and stakeholders throughout Confluent.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in software development.

• More than 4 years in an engineering management position.

• Demonstrated hands-on expertise in designing, building, and managing distributed systems at scale within a major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• A proven track record in leading and developing high-performance teams.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
