Senior Manager, Data Steward – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the stewardship of essential Pharma R&D data domains, guaranteeing data quality, compliance, and usability throughout the research and development value chain.

• Guide and mentor a team of data stewards, collaborating closely with governance, data product, and business domain leaders.

• Implement data standards, address data issues, and provide reliable, governed data products.

• Manage the execution and oversight of MDM initiatives, ensuring that data across the organization is accurate, consistent, and complete.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in data stewardship, governance, or data management, with significant exposure to Pharma R&D data.

• A proven history of establishing governance frameworks and leading cross-functional teams while mastering essential master data domains pertinent to R&D.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams focused on data stewardship.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Pharma R&D data domains, regulatory requirements, and data standards.

• Strong grasp of data management principles, practices, and practical experience with stewardship and metadata platforms (e.g., Informatica CDGC/CDQ for cataloging and business metadata, Collibra, Reltio (MDM), Databricks).

• Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to balance scientific, operational, and compliance needs.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities; capable of conveying the value of stewardship and metadata to leadership.

• Proven dedication to fostering a culture of data trust, quality, and contextual understanding.
