This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and lead the comprehensive delivery of data architecture and pipeline solutions, encompassing planning, requirements gathering, design, construction, and testing.
• Create and enhance the semantic layer as a controlled single source of truth for business intelligence and reporting purposes.
• Spearhead sprint planning and operations, including the execution of sprints, planning for releases, delivery of releases, and resolution of dependencies and blockers.
• Monitor sprint delivery metrics, operational efficiency, and DevOps performance to facilitate ongoing improvement.
• Design and implement data quality frameworks featuring monitoring, alerting, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, impact assessment, and sizing for essential pipelines.
• Establish foundational capabilities in MLOps, machine learning, feature engineering, and integration of ML/AI platforms.
• Oversee and continually enhance data architecture and pipelines, ensuring adherence to monitoring standards and operational controls.
• Collaborate with teams in Analytics, Application Development, Data Collection Strategy & Operations, IT Operations, Product Management, and Regional Data Systems & Strategy.
• Develop, execute, track, and manage project plans while balancing competing priorities.
• Ensure clear visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies through consistent tracking and communication.
• Mentor team members in creating data solutions, implementing data quality practices, reviewing standards, and maintaining documentation.
• Manage and cultivate team members or contractors through expectations, feedback, and coaching efforts.

• Proficiency in SQL, Spark, PySpark, management and architecture of on-premises and cloud-based data platforms, CI/CD, ETL/data pipelines, version control, SSIS, agile sprint operations, project management tools, and machine learning principles.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in data engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with SQL-based data platforms like SQL Server and modern cloud data warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as Fabric/OneLake, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience overseeing agile sprint operations and managing DevOps metrics.
• Proficiency in JIRA or a comparable project and sprint planning tool.
• Experience utilizing Git-based version control and CI/CD platforms such as Bitbucket, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong technical expertise in SSIS, Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience in managing data platform operations and constructing/managing ETLs and pipelines.
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring data engineers.
• Understanding of ML workflows and ML/AI enablement for data platforms.
• Experience with SQL Server and MS Fabric/OneLake is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimal travel required: 10% (approximately 20 days per year).
