Senior Manager, Data Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of analysts integrated across various game titles, offering guidance, feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.

• Oversee the centralized roadmap for the analytics function, encompassing tooling, instrumentation, automation, and enablement priorities.

• Collaborate with product managers and embedded analysts to uphold a prioritized backlog of analytics tasks aligned with each title's roadmap.

• Set and uphold high standards for analytical methodologies, including governance of A/B testing, telemetry design, and data storytelling.

• Identify and pursue opportunities to automate reporting, enhance self-service data access, and integrate AI tools.

• Ensure the team delivers clear, decision-oriented outputs that are trusted by game leads and leadership.

• Develop systems for knowledge sharing, which include analysis reviews, shared documentation, reusable templates, and learnings across titles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in analytics or data science, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within an analytics team.

• Proven capability to develop analysts and enhance the quality and impact of team output.

• Extensive expertise in A/B testing and experimentation, including hypothesis formulation, power analysis, and conveying results to non-technical audiences.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and fluency with a modern data stack (data warehousing, BI tools, analytics engineering).

• Strong comprehension of consumer product KPIs, such as retention, engagement, and monetization within a live service or free-to-play environment.

• A clear perspective on how AI and automation can enhance analytics team operations, along with experience in promoting adoption.
