This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of their team, taking responsibility for the results achieved.
• Collaborates with the Product team to outline and execute the 6-month AI roadmap while also contributing to long-term planning and strategy alongside R&D Leadership.
• Provides guidance and clarity, eliminates barriers, and leads teams in delivering high-quality, innovative AI solutions in collaboration with architects, developers, data scientists, product managers, customer support engineers, and support staff.
• Establishes the strategic direction for addressing various challenges, ranging from classical machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, random forests) to deep learning, fine-tuned language models, and agentic systems, partnering with technical peers and team members to transform complex security use cases into production-ready projects.
• Works with Architects and other leaders to shape the company's technical roadmap, advocating for secure, observable, and scalable AI systems in cloud-native environments.
• Manages the design, training, deployment, and ongoing quality assessment of models and agentic experiences.
• Promotes continuous enhancement in engineering and MLOps processes.
• Maintains secure coding practices and acceptable-use standards throughout the entire development life cycle.
• Champions cross-functional initiatives with platform, product, and security operations teams to incorporate AI into production, ensuring successful project completion.
• Guides and mentors each team member, aiding their development in technical and leadership skills while establishing career growth plans and achievable objectives.
• Fosters collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.
• Leads recruitment efforts for their team and significantly contributes to the hiring and recruitment strategy for both full-time and co-op positions.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Four years of experience in software, AI/ML, or data science roles (or a Master’s degree plus two years), including a track record of leading technical teams or projects.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering AI/ML or Generative AI systems to production at scale.
• Strong knowledge in the production deployment of Generative AI or machine learning systems, encompassing training, tuning, and ongoing quality measurement and evaluation (e.g., LLM-as-judge).
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks (e.g., AgentCore, LangChain, LangGraph) and integration of large language models (LLMs).
• Experience in architecting MLOps processes and tools for transitioning models from training to production, including drift monitoring and continuous learning in high-volume pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud-native data services (AWS preferred) and data engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka, Databricks), as well as infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps principles.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as threat detection, MITRE ATT&CK, telemetry, and adversarial behavior modeling.
